A Man drowns after jumping into well to retrieve his phone(video)

A 26-year-old man, identified simply as Cisse, has lost his life after jumping into a well to retrieve his phone.

The deceased, whose shop is located at No 7 Olanrewaju Street, Mohan bus stop in the Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, lost his life over a phone that worth N3,000..

The information gathered that Cisse was sitting on the edge of the well when his phone fell into it, but in a bid to retrieve the phone, he immediately jumped into the well in order to retrieve it but never came out alive.

According to a post on Instablog9ja, an eyewitness, Yinka, quickly called for help while trying to rescue the victim, informed the Lagos State Fire Service, whose personnel were mobilized to the scene.

Cisse’s corpse was brought out during the rescue operation.

Confirming the incident, the acting General Manager, Lagos State Fire Service, Margaret Adeseye, said Cisse’s corpse was recovered and handed over to the Olosan Police Division.
